James Hyde
Managing Director
James joined Forrester-Hyde full time on 6 October 2003, has achieved his Diploma in Financial Planning and is closing in on Chartered status. James assumed the role of Managing Director on 1 December 2018, is Head of Corporate Client and sits on the Investment Committee.
Matthew Barber
Chief Executive
Matt joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 November 1988 and is both a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Financial Planner. Alongside being Chief Executive Officer of Forrester-Hyde, Matthew is also Head of Private Client and chairs the Investment Committee.
James Dear
Director
James joined Forrester-Hyde on 16 July 2007 and is both a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Financial Planner. James advises both Corporate and Individual Clients and sits on the Investment Committee.
Jonathan Gray
Chartered Financial Planner
Jonathan joined Forrester-Hyde on 29 March 1999 and is both a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Financial Planner. Jonathan specialises in Retirement Planning, SIPP Property and all aspects of Technical Pension. Jonathan also sits on the Investment Committee.
Howard Imbert
Director
Howard joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 August 1995 and achieved the Diploma in Financial Planning, and is close to attaining Chartered Status. Before joining Forrester-Hyde, Howard worked at UNUM Limited, a leading provider of Corporate Risk Benefits. Howard is mainly involved in the research, recommendation and ongoing servicing of Corporate Risk Benefit Schemes, and also working alongside Jan Burton, sourcing and recommending Individual Financial Protection and Mortgages.
Ray Turner
Chartered Financial Planner
Ray joined Forrester-Hyde on 21 August 2017, after graduating from the University of Exeter with a First Class degree in History and Politics. Ray has since qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner, accredited through the Chartered Insurance Institute. Ray predominantly advises Individual Clients, to include Attorneys and Trustees, on areas such as Retirement Planning, Investment Management and Long-Term Care.
Lauren Plumley
Financial Adviser
Lauren joined Forrester-Hyde on 3rd July 2019. After graduating from the University of Surrey with a degree in Law, she spent 2 years working in administration for Defined Benefit schemes. Lauren has completed her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, and is currently working towards the Advanced Diploma in order to attain Chartered Financial Planner status.

Amber joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 October 2012 and is currently working towards her Certificate in Financial Planning. Amber’s time is currently split between supporting our team of advisers, working primarily alongside James Hyde and James Dear, and assisting in the day to day running of our Client Portfolios.

Alison joined Forrester-Hyde on 6 July 1992 and holds the Certificate in Financial Planning. Alison has extensive experience in supporting our team of advisers, particularly in relation to SIPP and SSAS Property related aspects of Retirement Planning.
Meryl Crossley

Meryl joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 March 2017 and is currently working towards her Certificate in Financial Planning. Meryl provides full support to our team of advisers for all pension and investment related tasks.
Cheryl Shrimplin – Senior Administrator, Forrester Hyde

Cheryl joined Forrester-Hyde on 28 March 1994 and specialises in the administration of Corporate Pension Schemes, working alongside Julie Darby. Cheryl also assists Rebecca, our Financial Controller, with managing the finances of Forrester-Hyde.
